Ideally I wanted to do a huge amount of watercolour painting in the four months of preparation for my exhibition. In practice the months have been frittered away with experiments and quite a lot of drawing. So today I went down to the pond and found a position with a good angle on the building. I’d really like to have a good set of urban sketches in the show. Anyway, here’s what I got from the afternoon (90 minutes worth).
It was lovely to chat with the mums bringing their children across the green after school. One lovely lady stopped and admired my work, pointing out that she has an MA in fine Art and oil painting from her University in Lahore. So that’s official!
I’ve been asked to submit a watercolour of the OSO (or some derivative artwork) for their website! Let’s see if we can make something work?..
